As the newest of spring options, Powder Coated Garage Door Springs are seen more often in recent applications. Many manufacturers and homeowners like the coated torsion spring for its visual appeal, strength and clean surface.

Made from the same torsion spring steel as Oil Tempered Garage Door Springs and Galvanized Garage Door Springs, the production of powder-coated springs involves a unique process, wherein paint is used to coat the wires, and the electrical bonding seals the coat.

 

Product Features

We offer a wide selection of torsion springs in 1.75” and 2” Inner Diameters in multiple wire sizes ranging from 0.207, 0.218, 0.225, 0.234, 0.243, 0.250, 0.262 to 0.272. 

(2) Long Lasting

Made of heat treated steel coils with aluminum cones to make sure they are extremely heavy duty. Surface powder coated black for smoother, cleaner operation and also corrosion resistant and oil tempered for longer life.

For use on doors 7′ or 8′ high doors with 4″ standard lift drums. Engineered for maximum application range. Minimum 15,000 cycles, at +/- 7.5 lbs of target door weight.

How To Measure Garage Door Springs?

To measure the torsion springs, follow each of the following four steps carefully. If the garage door has two springs measure each spring individually. 

(1) Measure Torsion Spring Wire Size

(2) Measure Torsion Spring Inside Diameter (1 3/4” or 2”)

(3) Measure Torsion Spring Length

(4) Wind of Torsion Spring (Left Wound or Right Wound)
